In celebration of the One Year To Go until the FIFA World Cup 26™ the North Texas FWC Organizing Committee will be announcing Co-Chairs, showing off the official countdown clock, and lighting up the Dallas skyline on this special day. In addition, the NTFWCOC is hosting a Community Soccer Equipment, Cleats and Shoe Drive at participating Kroger’s and YMCA’s throughout the region. See complete list below.

In honor of the countdown to the World Cup 2026™, the North Texas FWC Organizing Committee, Trinity River Authority (TRA), City of Fort Worth, City of Arlington, University of Texas at Arlington (UTA), and Trinity Coalition are hosting a community cleanup around Lake Arlington from 9AM-11AM to support sustainability goals.

Join us as North Texas rallies together for the beautiful game—and for a great cause. In celebration of the countdown to the FIFA World Cup 2026™, we invite our community to donate new or gently used soccer gear to support youth and families across our region.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

Drop off any of the following items at participating Kroger and YMCA locations across North Texas (complete list below).

Soccer balls, Shin guards, Socks, Cleats (new or gently used), Training equipment (cones, vests, bags, etc.) and/or Athletic shoes (all types and sizes)

WHERE YOUR DONATIONS GO:

Soccer equipment and cleats will be distributed to local nonprofits supporting underserved youth.

Shoes will be collected and distributed by Soles4Souls, to support individuals and communities in need to help fight poverty and support global sustainability efforts.

This is more than a donation—it’s a chance to give back, create access to sport, and be part of a region united by the power of play.
