of the Soccer Equipment, Cleats and Shoe Drive – June 11-30
The North Texas FWC Organizing Committee announced today that Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages has been signed as an Official World Cup 2026™ Dallas Host City Supporter. The announcement was made as part of a “One Year to Go” FIFA World Cup 26™ press conference in North Texas.
“We are proud to introduce Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages as our first Official World Cup 26™ Dallas Host City Supporter,” said North Texas FWC Organizing Committee President Monica Paul. “Coca-Cola brings 50 years of World Cup experience to our market and we have no doubt CCSWB as the local Coca-Cola bottler will be a valued and active partner alongside the North Texas FWC Organizing Committee as we aim to deliver an incredible experience for Dallas and the North Texas region.”
As a Host City Supporter, Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages will play a key role in community initiatives aligned with the North Texas FWC Legacy commitment. Additionally, Coca-Cola Southwest will have significant branding opportunities throughout the North Texas region including custom-branded delivery trucks.
“The FIFA World Cup is more than a tournament – it’s a global movement that unites people across borders, cultures and generations. As someone who grew up watching fútbol in Colombia and France where passion for the game runs deep, this partnership is especially meaningful,” said Jean Claude Tissot, president of Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages. “Hosting the World Cup is a major business and cultural opportunity for Dallas-Fort Worth. We’re proud to serve the community as Host City Supporter and celebrate fans through new and innovative experiences only CCSWB can deliver.”
Along with the “One Year to Go” until the FIFA World Cup 26TM celebration and press conference, the North Texas FWC Organizing Committee kicked off its Community Soccer Equipment, Cleats and Shoe Drive beginning today through June 30. Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages contributed the first donation with 200 soccer balls to the cause.
The North Texas FWC Organizing Committee is asking the North Texas region to donate new or gently used soccer gear to support youth and families across the region. All donations are encouraged to be made at participating Kroger and YMCA locations across North Texas (listed below). Soccer equipment and cleats will be distributed to local nonprofits supporting underserved youth. Shoes will be collected and distributed by Soles4Souls, to support individuals and communities around the world to help fight poverty and support global sustainability efforts.
