HARNESSING THE FIFA wORLD CUP™ AS A CATALYST FOR LASTING POSITIVE CHANGE IN NORTH TEXAS
Your name. world cup history. community impact.
TEXAN GOLDEN BOOT
North Texas FWC Organizing Committee and North Texas Sports Foundation unveiled a flagship community initiative designed to transform a historic global moment into lasting public benefit: the Texan Golden Boot sculpture and the accompanying Buy a Brick campaign.
The Texan Golden Boot will be located in the Arlington Entertainment District and will serve as a permanent public art landmark forged from locally sourced reclaimed metal, created by internationally recognized sculptor Steve Ekpenisi, and curated and produced by Street Art for Mankind.
Together, the sculpture and Buy a Brick campaign create a rare opportunity for the entire community—from families to global brands—to help build a permanent symbol of this historic World Cup moment, while directly funding long-term legacy programs across North Texas communities. Each donor contributing $500-$5,000 will have the honor of having their name on individual bricks that will surround the sculpture.
North Texas Sports Foundation is the Official Dallas World Cup 2026 Legacy Supporter established to leverage the FIFA World Cup 2026™ for creating long-term, positive regional impact for sports-driven community transformation. All funds raised through the Texan Golden Boot and Buy a Brick Campaign are stewarded by the North Texas Sports Foundation.

placemaking art murals
Through the power of art, we can extend the legacy of the FIFA World Cup 2026™ by investing in murals that reflect the diverse spirit of North Texas. These public works serve as landmarks, transforming everyday spaces into vibrant destinations where culture, creativity, and community intersect. Murals bring color and storytelling to neighborhoods. Each installation offers more than beauty, it fosters connection, celebrates identity, and leaves behind a visible reminder of how the world’s game united our region. Together with our partners, we can establish an artistic legacy that enlivens public spaces and strengthens community bonds for generations to come.
urban greening & Environmental impact
Through donor partnerships, we can extend the legacy of the FIFA World Cup 2026™ beyond the pitch by investing in tree planting and sustainable landscaping. Expanding green spaces across Dallas–Fort Worth reduces harmful urban heat, improves air quality, and creates healthier environments where children and families can thrive. These efforts not only lower energy costs and lessen respiratory issues but also provide cooler, more welcoming gathering places for our communities. Together with our partners, we have the opportunity to establish lasting green infrastructure—a living legacy that will continue to benefit North Texas for generations to come.
