A: The NTFWCOC is the official organizing committee responsible for the planning and executing events for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Dallas and the North Texas region. The NTFWCOC is comprised of seven board members and an assigned team focusing on fundraising, operations, stadium prep, safety and security, sustainability, fan festival and ancillary events, human rights, transportation, legacy, volunteers, training sites, accommodations, and overall event planning.

It is free and open to everyone at Fair Park in Dallas.

Q: Can fans buy tickets right now?
A: Due to the anticipated demand around the FIFA World Cup 26™, tickets are released in phases and often require applying for the chance to buy tickets. There will be several of these distinct ticket sales phases from the opportunity to register for tickets on September 10, 2025, through to the final match on July 19, 2026. Each phase may differ in purchasing processes, payment methods, and ticket products. In order to have the chance to buy general tickets, fans should register their interest at FIFA.com/tickets to learn about the next opportunity to apply for tickets. Q: Will the World Cup be safe for visitors?
A: Yes. Local, state, and federal agencies are working with FIFA to ensure a regional safety and security plan is put in place for the event. There are sixteen focus groups and expert planning teams working across the DFW metroplex on coordination of public safety for the World Cup in the DFW region.
HUMAN RIGHTS & SUSTAINABILITY
Q: What is the World Cup doing about human rights?
A: Dallas has a Human Rights Plan that addresses 21 issues that are categorized under safeguarding and inclusion, worker safeguards, and access to remedy in our sphere of control. A cross section of the items in the plan are:
- Responsible contracting policy that our vendors must adhere to that prohibits human trafficking and labor exploitation.
- Regional, industry wide training on Human Trafficking, Accessibility, LGBTQIA+ sensitivity.
- Awareness campaign that will cover anti-discrimination, human trafficking and cat calling.
- Publishing Free Speech toolkits to ensure that free speech zones and time, place, and manner restrictions are properly understood.
FIFA will also have several human rights measures in place for their sphere of control such as the stadium which they will have exclusive use of to ensure that human rights mitigations are in place and addressed.

Q: What does the FIFA volunteer journey involve?
A: The volunteer journey at a FIFA event is exciting! It involves applying and completing a brief online assessment, attending Volunteer Team Tryouts, accepting your role, completing your training, picking up your accreditation pass and uniform, and being part of delivering a world-class event. Please note that if you are offered a role, you will need to complete and pass a background review.
Q: Will accommodation be provided for volunteers?
A: No, volunteering-related expenses are not covered by FIFA. Volunteers will need to arrange their own travel to the host country and Host City, as well as accommodation, and cover any other related costs. Information about local transportation during tournament time will be shared with volunteers in due course.

A: The tournament runs from 11 June to 19 July 2026. Volunteers must commit to completing a minimum of eight shifts during this period. Shifts will be between six to eight hours, and some roles may start as early as May.
Q: Who is invited to the in-person Volunteer Team Tryouts?
A: Selected applicants are invited to continue their volunteer journey and attend the in-person Volunteer Team Tryouts in the preferred Host City indicated on their application.
Q: Who is invited to the virtual Volunteer Team Tryouts?
A: A limited number of virtual Volunteer Team Tryout slots will be available for selected volunteers who live outside the state or province of the Host City indicated on their application.

Q: What do the in-person Volunteer Team Tryouts entail?
A: These fun and informal sessions will be an opportunity for you to meet the Volunteer Management team and share why you would be a great addition to the FIFA volunteer team. It is also a chance for you to meet other volunteers and learn more about what it is like to volunteer at a FIFA event. Keep in mind that this session will be conducted in the host country’s official language and will last roughly 90 minutes.
Q: What do the virtual Volunteer Team Tryouts entail?
A: At the virtual Volunteer Team Tryouts, you’ll discover what makes the FIFA Volunteer Program truly special and connect personally with a member of the Volunteer Management team to share why you’d make a great addition to the FIFA volunteer team. Keep in mind that this session will be conducted in the host country’s official language and will last roughly 30 minutes.

Q: What happens if I cannot attend the in-person Volunteer Team Tryouts session in my preferred Host City?
A: Attending the in-person Volunteer Team Tryouts is a necessary step in the volunteer journey. A limited number of virtual Volunteer Team Tryout slots will be available for volunteers who live outside of a 300-mile radius from their selected Host City. For individuals who live within a 300-mile radius of their selected Host City, attending in-person is mandatory.
Q: I am an international volunteer. Can I still attend the Volunteer Team Tryouts?
A: International volunteers who are invited to move forward in the volunteer journey and participate in the Volunteer Team Tryouts will receive detailed information on attending a virtual session.
Q: Do I need to bring anything with me to the Volunteer Team Tryouts?
A: Please be sure to have your confirmation email handy, and do not forget to bring the identification document that you used when filling out your application for the Volunteer Team Tryouts. There will be nowhere to secure your personal belongings, so please bring only the items that you need. Most importantly, have fun and enjoy!
