Gillian Breidenbach is the Chief Partnership Officer for FIFA World Cup 26™ Dallas and founder of GB3 Consulting.
Prior to this, Gillian was at DallasNews Corporation serving in two roles as the Vice President of Communications for The Dallas Morning News and Chief Community Engagement Officer at Medium Giant. She launched FWD>DFW, an innovative, cause-marketing platform that enables headquarter companies and marquee brands in North Texas to authentically tell stories about community impact, volunteerism and philanthropy.
Breidenbach also spent 28 years at Bank of America before retiring in 2018 as a Senior Vice President and Local Market Delivery Executive for North Texas. She managed the Bank of America Charitable Foundation in North Texas which contributed nearly $3 million annually to support workforce development, education and basic needs.
In addition, she negotiated, leveraged and executed local sponsorships and community activities, including theDallas Arboretum, State Fair of Texas, Byron Nelson Championship, Dallas Festival of Ideas, Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers and various other sport and arts sponsorships. As an executive sponsor for the North Texas Bank of America Community Volunteers, she helped guide more than 150,000 volunteer hours annually from more than15,000 local associates at 300+ events annually.
She was with Bank of America beginning in 1990 in various capacities within Corporate Marketing & Communications. Prior to this role, she was responsible for national media relations for the Consumer Bank, with a specific focus on sponsorship marketing, multicultural initiatives and the national banking center expansion efforts. Throughout her career, she has supported state presidents in Texas and the Southwest and managed the media relations efforts surrounding the bank’s sponsorship of the 2002 Olympic Winter Games, the Bank of America Colonial and many crisis management situations including Y2K efforts, Hurricanes Andrew, Allison & Katrina, 9-11 disaster, and the July 7, 2016 shootings in Downtown Dallas.
Ms. Breidenbach serves on the board of directors for the SMU Athletic Forum (Chair), Cotton Bowl Athletic Association (Executive Committee) and Cotton Bowl Foundation. She is a member of the Dallas Assembly, a graduate of Leadership Dallas as well as Valley Leadership (Phoenix).
Her past board roles include the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas. Children’s Medical Center Women’s Auxiliary; Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing & Visual Arts Advisory Board; North Texas Commission; AT&T Performing Arts Center- President’s Advisory Council; Junior League of Dallas Community Advisory Board, TACA and Mi Escuelita Preschools.
Breidenbach received her bachelor’s degree from Southern Methodist University and is the proud mom of twoboys.
